A Kirksville woman died after a single-vehicle accident Monday evening near Elmer, Mo.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Priscilla A. Weeks, 43, died after the accident on Missouri Highway 3, about 3.5 miles northeast of Elmer. She was pronounced dead at 8:42 p.m. at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The report states Weeks was driving a 2007 Ford Focus southbound around 7:22 p.m. when she crossed the center line, swerved to avoid oncoming traffic, traveled off the right side of the roadway, overturned multiple times and was ejected from the vehicle.

Weeks was not wearing a seat belt.
