PANAMA CITY, FL : 3 injured in head-on wreck on U.S. 231 on Sunday, 9th October 2016

A collision at U.S. 231 and East Avenue sent two people to area hospitals Sunday afternoon.

The wreck happened shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday when a Ford Mustang and a Kia Sportage collided head-on in a northbound lane of U.S. 231.

Officials with the Panama City Police Department and Bay County Sheriff's Office said three people sustained minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital.

The wreck briefly closed down a northbound lane of U.S. 231, but traffic flow continued in all directions.
