York County, SC : One person killed in crash on Saturday October 29th 2016

One person was killed in a crash Saturday afternoon, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The wreck happened at approximately 2:35 p.m. on SC-49 about 4 miles east of Clover.

According to troopers, a pickup truck was traveling north on SC-49 and veered across the center line, striking a car head-on.

The driver of the car, later identified as Jeri Dawn Victor, 55, of York, SC, died on scene as a result of her injuries.

Troopers said a minor passenger was in the car as well. The young passenger was taken to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Officials have not said if anyone will be charged in the crash.
