Lansing, MI : Constantine man dies in crash on Saturday, December, 23rd 2017

A 49-year-old Constantine man died Saturday at the scene of a crash in Constantine Township.

Michigan State Police said the incident occurred about 4:15 p.m. on Youngs Prairie Road, south of New England Road.

Police said a Chevy Malibu was being passed by a Camaro when the Malibu driver lost control, and the car struck a tree. The driver of the Camaro also lost control and that vehicle entered a ditch. The driver of the Camaro, a 37-year-old Three Rivers man, left the scene, then returned a short time later. Police said the two vehicles did not strike each other.

The driver of the Malibu was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not released his identity, pending notification of family.

A portion of Youngs Prairie was closed for several hours for a police investigation.
