Queens ,NY :Pedestrian fatally struck by car on Belt Parkway on Saturday ,Morning ,July 18th 2015

Police say a pedestrian has been fatally struck by a car in Queens.

The unidentified man was hit around 2 a.m. Saturday on the Belt Parkway near Springfield Boulevard.

Police say the man was hit as he walked along the parkway near the center divider.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene and has not been charged.
