Powell, TN : One child died and another injured following a car wreck in Powell on Sunday afternoon, November 23, 2014

One child has died and another is seriously injured following a car wreck in Powell Sunday afternoon. The driver, 33-year-old Stephen Steelman was taken in for suspicion of DUI and later charged with vehicular homicide, a third DUI and driving with a revoked license. He was unharmed in the crash. Officials say they were dispatched around noon to the 4100 block of West Beaver Creek Drive where Steelman's Ford Focus had hit a telephone pole. A 10-year-old child was pronounced dead on the scene and an 11-year-old child was taken to UT medical center with life threatening injuries according to deputies.
