A Hutchinson man remains hospitalized at Via Christi Hospital St. Francis after he was injured in a collision Friday in Reno County. Bodie Eugene McKee was driving a 1996 BMW east on 69th Avenue near Dean Road at about 3 p.m. Friday when he failed to yield at the intersection, the Reno County Sheriff’s Department said on its Facebook page. The BMW was struck on its passenger side by a northbound 2004 Ford F-350, leaving McKee with head injuries. The truck’s driver and passenger, both of Sterling, were not hurt. McKee was flown to Wichita for treatment, according to the sheriff’s department. A Via Christi house supervisor said Saturday that he was in critical condition. The sheriff’s department said alcohol consumption may have played a role in the collision; officers are still investigating. Source : Hutchinson man critical after collision
