Orlando, FL : Two persons were injured after a crash that left a vehicle dangling from a bridge at State Road 408 On Sunday, August 21st, 2016
The westbound lanes of State Road 408 near Waterford Lakes Town Center are shut down after a crash that left a vehicle dangling from a bridge there.
Initial reports indicate a woman and a child were extricated from the vehicle shortly before 11 a.m. Sunday. Their injuries did not appear to be serious, authorities reported.
Witnesses said the vehicle went into the grass median and hit a guardrail. A lip on the guardrail caught the vehicle, keeping it from going over the ledge onto Kehoe Boulevard below, troopers said.
A trooper happened upon the vehicle while patrolling.
All westbound lanes of SR-408 are blocked at Kehoe Boulevard. The westbound SR-408 on-ramps from Alafaya Trail and from State Road 50 were also shut down.
Crews were working to stabilize the vehicle.
