Lawrence County, AR : One person injured in a crash between a semi-truck and car on Highway 67 near a convenience store on Monday morning, December 7, 2015

A helicopter was called in to a crash in Lawrence County Monday morning.

According to the Lawrence County Office of Emergency Services Facebook page, Hoxie Police and Fire Departments were called to a crash between a semi-truck and a car on Highway 67 near a convenience store.

Hoxie Police Chief Glen Smith tells Region 8 News a woman driving a 1996 Dodge Dakota pulled out of a parking lot into the path of a semi truck traveling south on Texas Street at 9:16 a.m.

The driver of the SUV was airlifted from the scene. The extent of her injuries is unknown, according to Smith.

The driver of the semi was said to be "okay."
