IPSWICH, MA : Two people were hurt in a head-on crash in Ipswich on Saturday, January, 6th 2018
Officials said two people were hurt in a head-on crash in Ipswich on Saturday morning.
The crash, which involved a pick-up truck and a car, happened around 1:19 a.m. near 187 Linebrook Road.
The pick-up truck had completely rolled over due to the crash. The 28-year-old driver from New Hampshire was trapped inside, but was conscious and alert when crews arrived on scene. It took firefighters about an hour to safely remove the man from the truck.
The car involved had front end damage and was left in the middle of the road after colliding with the truck. That driver, a 28-year-old Ipswich man, was standing outside of the vehicle when officers arrived on scene.
The drivers were the sole occupants of both vehicles. They were both taken to Beverly Hospital and treated for their injuries. Both men are expected to be OK.
Officials said that preliminary investigation shows the pick-up truck driver veered across the traffic line before hitting the car.
The crash remains under investigation.
