Allentown, PA : Two injured in crash on Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie on Sunday afternoon, July 24, 2016

Two people were injured Sunday afternoon when two cars collided as one attempted a turn from Hamilton Boulevard in Lower Macungie Township, police said.

Jay R. Paetzell, 60, of Whitehall was eastbound on Hamilton Boulevard at 3:10 p.m. when he tried to turn left onto Krocks Court, but crossed into the path of an oncoming car, state police at Fogelsville said.

Paetzell's vehicle collided with a westbound car driven by John C. Dotta, 41, of Nazareth, police said. Dotta and his passenger, Kathryn M. Erdman, 47, of Allentown, were injured, police said.

Dotta and Erdman were taken by Macungie EMS to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest for treatment.

Paetzell and his passenger, Diane Paetzell, 56, were not injured, police said. Paetzell was cited for failing to yield while making a left turn, police said.
