Orange County, TX : One person injured after truck crash on Interstate 10 in Orange County on Friday May 27, 2016.
One person has been transported to a Beaumont hospital Friday morning after a collision involving a moving truck on Interstate 10 in Orange County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
James Kemp, 39, of Houston, was driving a Mercury passenger vehicle on the I-10 eastbound service road near Adams Bayou. For an "unknown reason," Kemp drove across the grass median, traveled onto the interstate and was struck by a Penske moving truck driving eastbound on the interstate, according to DPS Trooper Stephanie Davis.
The crash happened at around 8:45 a.m.
Kemp was transported by ambulance to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the moving truck, Andrew Westerguard, 29, of Del Rio, was not injured.
