Louisville, KY : Indiana teenager killed in a chain reaction crash on Interstate 65 in Louisville on Thursday night, February 4, 2016

An Indiana teenager has been identified as the person killed in a chain reaction crash on Interstate 65 in Louisville Thursday night.

A deputy coroner said Ozzie Simpson, 19, of Clarksville was a back seat passenger in car that hit a stalled vehicle in the middle of southbound I-65 near the Fern Valley road exit. He died of blunt force trauma.

Police said a preliminary investigation of the crash found a vehicle was disabled after rear-ending a cherry picker just before 10 p.m. on Thursday. The car in which Simpson was riding slammed into the disabled vehicle, and a fourth car crashed into the vehicle Simpson was in.

Everyone else involved in the crash was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
