A young St. Paul man has died after a near head-on collision on a state highway in central Nebraska.
Dead is 21-year-old Derek Holt.
The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reports Holt died of his injuries Sunday night at a hospital after his car hit an oncoming car on Nebraska 92, approximately two miles west of St. Paul. The driver of the other vehicle, 29-year-old Justin Arrowsmith of Omaha, has been hospitalized.
Authorities say the preliminary investigation indicates Arrowsmith might have crossed the center line as he approached Holt.
The investigation continues.
