FOSTER, RI : A crash on Route 6 on Friday, August 25, 2017

A crash on Route 6 has been cleared and traffic is moving once again in Foster.Rhode Island State Police Tweeted at 2:48 p.m. Friday that all lanes of the road near the Connecticut line were closed due to a vehicle crash.

An Eyewitness News crew on scene learned the crash happened in the area of 150 Danielson Pike. According to police, Sylvia Johnson, 80, of Foster, was killed when her car veered into an oncoming truck.

Police said the truck driver was also hurt in the collision but is expected to recover.
