A deputy with the York County Sheriff's Office was injured Tuesday when she crashed her patrol car while pursuing a suspect, according to officials.
The incident began on Carowinds Boulevard in Fort Mill. The deputy attempted to stop a vehicle, but the car sped off.
The deputy pursued the car then, according to the sheriff's office, lost control of her patrol car and wrecked. She was taken to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
The deputy's name and the extent of her injuries have not been released, but officials say she is expected to be OK.
