Owings motorbike rider killed in Elkridge crash

An Owings man died when his motorcycle crashed at an intersection in Howard County early Saturday morning, police said.David Roy Spriggs, 42, of Owings, Md. (Calvert County), was riding his bike south on Washington Boulevard in Elkridge and tried to take the exit for Route 100 to go east, according to police, who believe at that point he lost control and was thrown off.
