Lewiston, ME : Salem Township man injured in Farmington crash on Thursday, 10th November 2016

David Foley, 57, of Salem Township was injured Thursday morning when his stopped Jeep was hit from behind by an Impala driven by Jamie Phelps, 40, of Phillips. Foley, had his blinker on waiting to turn left into Aubuchon Hardware on Wilton Road in Farmington, police officer Justin Blais said. Phelps' told police that he had looked away and when he looked back he saw the stopped Jeep and tried to swerve around it. The Impala hit the back passenger corner of the Jeep at 40 mph with the front driver's side of the car, Blais said. Foley was taken by a NorthStar EMS ambulance with a possible head injury to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. Blais issued a traffic citation to Phelps for failure to maintain control of a vehicle. (NOTE: This caption has been modified to reflect that it was David Foley who was injured in the accident.
