KANSAS CITY, MO : Prospect kills 1, critically injures 2 others on Wednesday, 14th February 2024

One person is dead and two others suffered critical injuries in a high-speed car crash in the area of 63rd and Prospect on Wednesday.

Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that a black Lincoln MKZ sedan was driving southbound at a high rate of speed on Prospect when, just south of 63rd Street, a gray Lincoln MKX SUV was exiting a parking garage and making a left turn.

There, the MKZ hit the front end of the MKX, causing the crash at 2:55 p.m.

Police said the MKZ continued southbound across the northbound lanes of Prospect and came to a stop when it crashed into a tree.
