A Gresham man suffered critical injuries in a motorcycle crash near Warm Springs.
Oregon State Police responded to the scene on Highway 216 on Sunday morning.
Police said 45-year-old Arthur Kem, of Gresham, was traveling east on the highway when a saddle bag came loose and got caught in the rear wheel of his motorcycle, causing him to lose control and crash.
Kem was taken by life flight to a hospital in Bend and remained in critical condition Monday. Police said he was wearing a helmet.
Police had to close two lanes of traffic to investigate the crash. One lane was re-opened around 2:45 p.m., and the other re-opened an hour later.
Wasco County Sheriff's Office, Juniper Flat Rural Fire Department, South Wasco County Ambulance Service and the Oregon Department of Transportation assisted state troopers at the scene.
