Ionia, MI: Hairless cat rescued after I-96 accident on Sunday, July 19th 2015

Berlin-Orange Fire Department Chief Matt Bennett rescued a hairless cat from running onto westbound I-96 following a two-car accident Sunday afternoon.No one was injured in the accident, but the Berlin-Orange Fire Department, Michigan State Police and I-96 Towing responded to scene. Bennett said the cat was traveling with its family and jumped out of the car after the accident occurred. The animal hid under the car and I-96 Towing had to lift the Toyota in order to get the cat out.“Fortunately it came right to me and I grabbed it,” Bennett said.
