York, PA : Woman killed in crash near Red Lion on Friday morning, February 17, 2017

A Windsor Township woman was killed Friday morning when her car veered off Cape Horn Road just north of Red Lion and struck a house.

Karen Sue Warner, 63, was driving south toward Red Lion on the major north/south route at about 8:15 a.m.

That's when her Chevrolet Traverse ran off the road just south of Winners Circle Road and struck a mailbox, a pine tree and a utility pole before crashing into the house in the 3300 block of Cape Horn Road in York Township, according to authorities.

Warner was ejected from the car, either from hitting the utility pole or the house, her body landing in the southbound lane of the road, York Area Regional Police reported. The York County Coroner's Office said Warner died of multiple blunt force trauma and there will not be an autopsy.

Police did not specify why Warner lost control of her vehicle. The section of road is fairly straight.
