Huntsville , AL : Driver of the car was injured after Collision Between Two Cars at Mustin Lake Road on Friday night, December 12th 2014
A collision between two cars on Mastin Lake Road and Angora Drive Friday night left the Huntsville Police Department trying to sort out what happened, with one vehicle owner claiming his car had been commandeered by a gun-carrying offender.
He said that he was at a home on Jordan Lake and Blake Bottom Road when a man approached him and asked to drive his car. He told police he refused and the man implied he had a gun in his pocket.
The alleged offender made the victim move to the passenger seat and then began driving the vehicle at a high rate of speed, according to the account.
The driver then collided with the other vehicle.
The man got out and the car owner followed him to a gas station on Mastin Lake Road and Pulaski Pike, where police were called. Police said they approached the alleged offender but "due to inconsistencies" in the accounts of the vehicle owner and the alleged offender, no arrests were made.
The driver of the other vehicle left the scene without talking to police.
