BLAND, VA : Bramwell man dies after a vehicle crash in Bland County on Interstate 77 on Sunday, 30th September 2018

A Bramwell man died after a vehicle crash Friday evening on Interstate 77 in Bland County.

Virginia State Police Trooper S.H. Viars is investigating the single-vehicle crash, which happened at 6:30 p.m. at the 66 mile marker and claimed the life of Thomas F. Simionie, who was 77.

Viars said Simionie was driving a 2006 Ford F-150 pickup truck pulling a trailer south on I-77 when the trailer began to fishtail.

Simionie lost control which caused the F-150 to run off the left side of the interstate and strike the guardrail, Viars said.
