Wausau, WI : One dead in fiery town of Marathon crash on Sunday, April 9, 2017

One person died Sunday in a fiery crash in the town of Marathon.

Deputies are investigating a fatal, one-vehicle crash on Hollywood Road, north of County Road N, according to the Marathon County Sheriff's Department. The crash caused the vehicle to catch on fire. The driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle, police said.

Police said speed and inattentive driving were contributing factors in the crash. The name of the driver was not released as of Sunday evening.
