VIENNA, SD: Woman, 41, dies in crash in northeast South Dakota on Sunday, November 20th, 2016

A 41-year-old woman died Sunday afternoon in a one-vehicle crash that occurred northeast of Vienna near Watertown in northeast South Dakota.

Her name is not being released pending notification of family.

A 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup was southbound on 438th Avenue when the driver lost control on an icy patch of roadway. The vehicle went into the east ditch and rolled.

The woman driver died at the scene. A male passenger, 13, was not injured. Both were wearing seatbelts.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
