MILWAUKEE, WI : 83-year-old wrong way driver cited after head-on crash on State Highway 794 on Saturday, 1st December 2018

An 83-year-old driver involved in a head-on crash on State Highway 794 on Saturday evening may have to re-take his driving test.

A statement from the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office said the man, who was not publicly identified, was driving his Toyota minivan northbound in the southbound lanes of the divided highway when he crashed into a Chevrolet Spark near Pennsylvania Avenue at about 5 p.m.The 83-year-old driver was treated on the scene and refused additional medical treatment. The driver of the vehicle that was struck was transported to the hospital for leg injuries and chest pain.

The elderly driver was cited for driving the wrong way and reported to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for a possible licensing test.
