Monroeville, OH : Three people injured in Four-vehicle crash on Ohio 61 south of Norwalk on Saturday afternoon, March 28, 2015
The Ohio Highway Patrol has released the names of three people injured in a traffic accident Saturday afternoon near Monroeville.
Gladys Luxon, of Norwalk, was flown by medical helicopter to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo with non-life threatening injuries, the patrol said. Andrew B. Luxon of Norwalk and Alice M. Signs of Sandusky were taken to Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk with minor injuries.
The patrol said the accident took place at about 2:15 p.m. near milepost 12 of Ohio 61.
Andrew Luxon was driving a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis southbound on Ohio 61 when it struck a southbound 2003 Ford Taurus driven by Signs. The Ford Taurus then struck a southbound 2001 Dodge Durango driven by Bryan Signs of Willard.
Andrew Luxon was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance. The patrol said the crash is still under investigation. Troopers at the scene were helped by the Huron River Joint Fire District, Lifeflight, and North Central EMS.
