BELTSVILLE, MD : Driver killed in Prince George’s County, on July, Tuesday 4th 2017

Authorities say one person is dead after a freight train struck an SUV in Prince George’s County.

According to the Prince George’s County Police Department, the crash happened around 3:40 a.m. in Beltsville.

Local media report the driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

A CSX representative tells WTOP the train was heading from Baltimore to Detroit. None of the crew was injured.

Police are investigating what led to the collision.
