KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, IN : A 1-year-old is dead after an accident involving a fork truck in Kosciusko County on Wednesday, 3rd September 2024

A 1-year-old is dead, after a forklift backed over the toddler.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies and emergency personnel responded to the accident on Wednesday, Sept. 4, shortly after 1 in the afternoon.

It happened in the 12000 block of N. 1025 West outside of Nappanee.

The investigation determined the forklift driver was unaware the toddler was behind the machine.
