Darrington, WA : Three injured in crash on Highway 530 in Skagit County on Sunday afternoon, August 31, 2014

A head-on collision on Highway 530 in Skagit County, southeast of Concrete, sent three people from Darrington to hospitals Sunday afternoon, the Washington State Patrol said. A driver in her early 20s was headed south toward Darrington around 1:40 p.m. when her 1989 Honda Prelude crossed the centerline, a State Patrol memo reported. The car hit a 2007 Chevrolet pickup towing a snowmobile trailer that was going in the opposite direction. The Darrington woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. No patient information was available under the name provided by authorities. The pickup driver, a Darrington man in his early 50s, was listed in good condition at Skagit Valley General Hospital in Mount Vernon. A female passenger in her late 40s, also from Darrington, was taken to a different local hospital. A second passenger in the pickup, a Montana man in his early 20s, was uninjured.
