WALTON COUNTY, FL : 22-year-old DeFuniak Springs man killed in rollover pickup truck crash on I-10 on Sunday, 7th July 2024

A 22-year-old DeFuniak Springs man was killed in a crash Sunday afternoon on I-10.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. on I-10 east near mile marker 93.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 27-year-old Santa Rosa Beach man lost control of his pickup truck "while traveling on the wet roadway." The truck drove off the roadway, overturned and collided with a tree line.

The Santa Rosa Beach man was hospitalized with serious injuries, while his passenger -- the 22-year-old DeFuniak Springs man -- died from his injuries at the hospital.
