A Durham man was killed in a car crash on Interstate 93 in Canterbury Saturday afternoon.Gordon Borek, 24, was driving on southbound I-93 just before 4 p.m. when he veered off of the left side of the highway near Exit 17 and struck a tree, according to New Hampshire State Police.
Borek was pronounced dead at the scene. State troopers said that he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, which could have saved his life.
Several witnesses said that Borek had been driving erratically before he drove off the road, police said.
State troopers are still investigating but believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
