Lawndale, NC : At least one killed in single-car crash in the 3400 block of Rube Spangler Road outside of Lawndale on Friday, 11th January 2019

A man has died and two others were critically injured after a single-car crash Friday night.

The wreck happened after 7:30 p.m. in the 3400 block of Rube Spangler Road outside of Lawndale.

The crash occurred when the car went left of center on the road and crashed into several trees.

The vehicle was barely recognizable, and troopers say speed was likely a factor.
