Eagle, ID : Coroner identifies man in deadly crash on Chinden Boulevard on Wednesday October 28 2015
The Ada County Coroner's Office have identified the man who died in a crash near the intersection of Chinden Boulevard and Locust Grove Road.
The coroner says 70-year-old Edward Rochnowski of Star died of blunt-force trauma.
Deputies say Rochnowski's PT cruiser left the road as he was driving on Chinden Boulevard, and hit a brick sign for the Valley Life Community Church head-on.
Witnesses tell the sheriff's office that the car began to wobble just before it went off the road. The driver was the only person in the vehicle, and no other cars were involved.
Ada County Dispatch confirmed that CPR was performed on the scene.
The initial call for the crash came in just after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night. The intersection was blocked for several hours as deputies and crews investigated.
Deputies are still working to determine the cause of the crash, but say they do not believe alcohol was a factor. The coroner's office declared his death to be accidental.
