WICHITA, KS : Bicyclist injured in W. Wichita crash on Thursday, 10th January 2019

A bicyclist in injured in a Thursday evening crash in west Wichita. Wichita police say a vehicle hit the bicycle, causing serious injuries.

Police say the bicyclist went to a local hospital in critical condition. The rider's condition improved to "serious," at the hospital, police say.

Following the crash reported about 5:20 p.m., police closed West Street at Central as crews worked to clear the scene.

Police say the vehicle and the bicycle were traveling south on West Street when the bicyclist pulled in front of the vehicle, leading to the collision.
