Palm Bay , FL : 4 students taken to hospital after School bus and pickup truck crash on Monday morning ,April 13th 2015

Four students were taken to a hospital after a crash involving a school bus and a pickup truck on Monday morning, according to the Palm Bay Police Department.
Police said the driver of the school bus failed to yield the right of way to the driver of the pickup truck near Emerson and Furth roads.

Investigators said the bus was on Furth Road making a left onto Emerson Road, and pulled in front of the truck, which was westbound on Emerson Road.

About 28 children were on the school bus at the time of the crash.

The pickup driver was also taken to the hospital. Officials said all injuries were minor.

“The speed limit on that road is 40 to 45 mph. These kids were lucky they're in a bus. Anything could have happened. It could have been worse,” said Palm Bay police Officer Yvonne Martinez.

The bus was on its way to Central Junior High.
