DENVER, CO : Denver sheriff deputy arrested after hit-and-run crash on Wednesday, 24th January 2024

A deputy with the Denver Sheriff Department (DSD) was arrested following a no-injury, hit-and-run crash earlier this month, the department announced Wednesday.

Jeremiah Espinoza-Young was arrested on charges of attempting to influence a public servant, false reporting to authorities, leaving the scene after striking unattended property and careless driving.

Aurora police said Espinoza-Young was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run crash in the 1900 block of Tower Road around 3 a.m. on New Year's Day, causing $15,000 in damages to a fence and concrete barrier.
