WALDEN, VT : Cabot man dies, 2 injured in crash on Wednesday, 17th March 2021

Police say one person was killed and two injured in a single-car crash in Walden Wednesday morning.

It happened just before 11 a.m. on Richard Crossing Road. Police say Kenneth Phillips Sr., 59, was headed north when he lost control and went off the road, hitting a tree. He died at the scene and his two passengers were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say it appears Phillips was driving too fast for the road conditions. He was also not wearing a seatbelt.
