Arrest made in fatal hit-and-run involving VALENTINE, NEB : cyclist near Valentine on Monday, 1st July 2024
The Cherry County Sheriff’s Office announced an arrest following a deadly hit-and-run crash involving a cyclist participating in the Tour de Nebraska event morning on Highway 20 west of Valentine.
The sheriff’s office thanked Grant, Hooker, and Arthur County Sheriff’s Offices and the Nebraska State Patrol for their assistance in the investigation.

The Tour de Nebraska, an annual 5-day bicycle ride established in 1988, is a 350-mile circle tour showcasing the “beauty and friendliness” of Nebraska’s countryside.
