Palatka, FL : Man electrocuted after crash in Putnam County on Sunday morning, Aug 16, 2015

A 25-year-old man was electrocuted following a crash in Putnam County on Sunday morning.
Robert Beall, 25, of Hawthorne, was driving on County Road 20A when he lost control of his car, crashed into a power pole and flipped onto the driver’s side.
The crash caused the power pole to snap and land across the vehicle.

First responders arrived to find the passenger, Hailey Roberts, 23, trapped inside the vehicle with live wires across the vehicle. Beall was found deceased across live power lines after apparently walking away from the vehicle.
According to the report, Beall had visible injuries consistent with electrocution.
Once the power lines were made safe by Florida Power & Light, rescuers extracted Roberts from the vehicle. Roberts was transported to UF Health of Gainesville in serious condition.
