CHEROKEE COUNTY, AL : Georgia man dies in Cherokee Co crash on Thursday, 12th September 2024

A Georgia man has died following a crash in Cherokee County.

State Troopers have identified the victim as William T. Amburgey. He was 79 and lived in Acworth, Georgia.

Amburgey was hurt when the Toyota Tundra he was driving left the road, hit a culvert, then a private driveway and overturned.

The crash happened Sept. 6 on Alabama 9 near Cherokee County 691.
