A pedestrian died after being struck by a car in Belchertown late Thursday night.
Northwestern District Attorney’s Office spokesperson Mary Carey says a woman was struck as a car heading eastbound on Route 9 turned right onto Route 202 just before 11:30 p.m.
The victim is not being identified at this time. She was pronounced dead at the site of the crash.
Massachusetts State Police detectives, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section were called in to help Belchertown police and fire departments.
