Two Eutawville men have drowned after their vehicle ended up in a creek following a head-on collision in Ridgeway.
Dorchester County Coroner Alice Durr tells local media that 74-year-old Steve Singletary and 66-year-old William Gooding both died Monday afternoon at Captain's Creek on South Carolina Highway 27.
Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Matt Southern says an SUV traveling north attempted to avoid an object in the road and crossed left of the center line and struck a GMC pickup head-on. The pickup ran off the right side of the road and into a creek.
Singletary and Gooding were in the pickup. The driver and a passenger of the SUV were injured and taken to Medical University Hospital.
