Monett, MO : A three-vehicle collision at Highway 60 on Wednesday, 4th April 2018
A three-vehicle collision at Highway 60 and Kyler at 8:25 a.m. on Wednesday left a Monett man injured.
According to a Monett Police report, Stanley Nowak, 85, of Monett, was driving a 2016 Nissan Rogue south on Kyler and failed to stop at a steady red light. He drove into a westbound 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck, driven by Paul Fenske, 59, of rural Pierce City.
The force of the collision spun Fenske's truck around, causing it to come to rest on the raised median. Debris from the collision struck an eastbound 2015 Ford Explorer, driven by Rose Marie Talley, of rural Pierce City, which was stopped in the turning lane to go north at the intersection.
Nowak was transported to Cox Monett Hospital by Barry-Lawrence Ambulance with probable but not apparent injuries. He told police he did not remember how the collision occurred. All the drivers wore safety belts. Nowak was issued a summons to appear in municipal court for a traffic violation.
