WADENA COUNTY, MN : Driver badly hurt in Wadena County collision with semi on Tuesday, 24th April 2018
A 70-year-old Menahga man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle collision Tuesday, April 24, on U.S. Highway 71 in Wadena County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Larry Libra was driving north at about 11:50 a.m. in a Dodge Avenger on Highway 71 when his vehicle crossed the centerline and hit a southbound semi, the patrol said in a news release.
Libra was not wearing a seat belt, and his airbag deployed, the patrol said.
Libra was flown to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo with life-threatening injuries. The semi driver, 41-year-old Danny Dik of Merrifield, Minn., was uninjured, the patrol said.
