Colonie, NY : Man has died and a woman has been injured after a 2006 Dodge Viper crashed along Interstate 87 on Saturday night August 23rd 2014

A Schenectady County man has died and a woman has been injured after a 2006 Dodge Viper crashed along Interstate 87, the Adirondack Northway. State police say 43-year-old Matthew Fiske of Rotterdam was driving the Viper south around 10 p.m. Saturday when he apparently struck a guide rail in the town of Colonie. The vehicle went off the highway and down an embankment before hitting a tree. Fiske was killed in the crash. His passenger, 43-year-old Colleen Seidel of Clifton Park, was taken to Albany Medical Center. Troopers said her injuries were serious but not life-threatening.
