SUTTER COUNTY, CA : 1 dead in Sutter County crash on Monday, 20th May 2024

A 21-year-old man from Yuba City died in a crash Monday morning, the CHP said.

The CHP said around 2 a.m., they were notified of a crash on Highway 99 south of Richland Road. When emergency personnel arrived, they located the driver who was ejected during the crash. The CHP said the driver was unresponsive and the man was pronounced dead at 2:15 a.m.

After investigating, the CHP said a silver 2011 Acura RDX was driving north on Highway 99. According to the witness, the Acura was weaving heavily and was unable to maintain its lane.
