Charlotte, N.C : Mother, 2 children sent to hospital after car hits building on Tuesday night, January 6, 2015

A mother and her two children were rushed to the hospital Tuesday night after a car crashed into an apartment building off Central Avenue near Landsdale Drive in east Charlotte, officials said.
The Charlotte Fire Department told Channel 9 the mother suffered a medical emergency before crashing.
The two children were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
