Glasgow, KY : Glasgow man dies in Sunday night crash on Tuesday August 30, 2016

A Glasgow man died Sunday evening in a crash after a tree limb landed on top of his vehicle.

Patrick S. Adwell, 49, of Glasgow died at the scene of the crash on Lick Branch Road at about 7:07 p.m. on Sunday, according to a Barren County Sheriff's Office press release issued Tuesday morning.

Adwell was traveling west on Lick Branch Road in his 2008 GMC when a large tree limb fell out of a tree and landed on top of his vehicle, according to the news release.

The vehicle then traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a ditch, fence and eventually a garage before coming to a stop.

Adwell was pronounced dead at the scene by the Barren County Coroner's Office. BCSO Dep. Alan Shirley investigated the crash and was assisted by the East Barren Fire Department and Barren Metcalfe EMS.
